We are so excited to be able to provide direct billing to your primary inusurer. To help serve you best, we kindly ask that you provide us with your insurance coverage ID card as well as a piece of photo identification.
Once we have your profile set up with your insurance information, we will be able to Direct Bill to your insurance company. Please keep in mind that since every insurance plan is different, there may or may not be a co-payment or a deductible. The Payment portal will give us the exact amount that your insurance company will pay, and what isn’t covered. Unfortunately, we are unable to check your coverage, so we kindly recommend calling your insurance company to gather all the information regarding your plan and coverage.
Below, you can find a list of all the insurance companies that offer direct billing. If you have a company that has the capability of allowing us to direct bill, but you don’t see it on our list, please inquire and we’ll do our best to add it. At this time we do not direct bill ICBC or WorkSafe BC.
Please note that we can’t guarantee direct billing at every appointment. This can be due to issues with individual insurance plans, problems with the submission portal, or clinic administration considerations. There are certain days of the week and/or times of the day that some insurance companies have their portal closed eg. Great-West Life is closed after 7pm (pacific time) and closed on Sunday. Please check with your insurance company.
Also, please note that Dr. Polo’s Pound a Day program package doesn’t qualify for direct billing, as you will still need to submit your invoices weekly to your insurance company

During this exceptionally difficult time we have been monitoring closely what the public health officials have been sharing, and keeping that in mind, we are making important changes to the services we are offering at Polo Health.
While the pharmacy will remain open, with regular hours to help serve your prescription refill needs, all non-essential visits have now been moved to phone consults and telemedicine. Our front desk staff will still be available to help support you with supplement refills, and booking those new appointments for you. If you do wish to pick up supplements, we kindly ask that you call ahead so we can get them ready for your pickup. If you are on the Pound-a-Day program, we encourage you to come pick up your weekly B-12 shots so you can take them home and self-administer them, and Dr. Polo and Dr. Kassam will follow up weekly by phone during the duration of your program.
As the situation is changing rapidly, we want to make sure all of our patients are taken care of both physically and mentally. We will reassess and re-evaluate the situation, but as of right now, we are closed until April 1st. If that date needs to be changed, we will update you all. Call in to book phone consults, refill your prescriptions, and pick-up any supplements you may need.
We recognize this is a trying and stressful time, and we urge to focus on your mental well being through the chaos. Our team will still be actively checking social media, and we are here to chat if you need anything.
